    Ko Pha Ngan – Thailand

    According to NomadList users, Ko Pha Ngan is the best place to work remotely in the world. The score for the island in southeastern Thailand reached an impressive 97% approval rating.

    Main pros and cons, according to the reviews:

    Pros: Cheap, safe, good internet connection, fun, safe for women and LGBTQIA+, and easy to make friends.

    Cons: Little freedom of speech and weak democracy, very hot and humid, low quality of education, hospitals without much infrastructure and English difficult to understand.

    Average cost: $1008.00 (per month)

    Lisbon – Portugal

    Lisbon took second place in the ranking of best cities for digital nomads, with a score of 94%.

    Cons: Very cold in winter, always full of tourists and lots of smoking people.

    Cons: Bad hospitals, few people speak good English, and many people smoke.

    Cons: Very cold in winter, always full of tourists and lots of smoking people.

    Buenos Aires – Argentina

    Buenos Aires is the only city in South America to appear on NomadList’s list of best cities for digital nomads. Brazil’s neighbor achieved a great score of 91%, and is the most affordable city among all those listed.

    Pros: Very cheap, safe for women and LGBTQIA+, fun, easy to make friends with, high quality education.

    Cons: Could be more secure, internet connection is not always good.
